Many TAFE Queensland Gold Coast apprenticeships now offer the option of more on-the-job training and therefore less time spent attending the TAFE college. Wherever this is the case a TAFE Queensland Gold Coast Trainer is assigned to attend your workplace to deliver training and assess your skills and knowledge.

TAFE Queensland Gold Coast has structured training for various course competencies that are not practised regularly in the workplace so many employers may still choose to send their apprentice to TAFE to learn those skills, however, this is done by negotiation between the employer and the TAFE Queensland Gold Coast Trainer.

The approved hours for an individual apprentice will vary according to the units of competency specified in their individual training plan.
