Develop intermediate Outlook skills with this Microsoft course!

The intermediate suite of Microsoft Office training at TAFE Queensland Gold Coast is designed for people who are already familiar with the basic features of Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel and Outlook.

Participants are provided with a comprehensive manual to keep and refer to after they have completed the course.

** This Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 (Intermediate) session can also be combined with the other two Microsoft Office Intermediate components of Word and Excel at a special package price.  Note:  The bundle offer is strictly available at the time of enrolment.

Alternatively, participants can complete the Introduction and Advanced sessions across the Microsoft Office Suite.

Microsoft Outlook builds on the Introduction session and provides participants with the knowledge and skills to be able to work with the Outlook calendar, tasks, notes and the journal, and advanced email features.

At the completion of this training participants will be able to:

  • work with the outlook calendar
  • work with tasks
  • work with notes and the journal
  • identify advanced email features

This short course is non-accredited therefore is not registered with the National Training Register. Course details

Entry requirements

Participants should already be familiar with Microsoft Office, and should have completed the Microsoft Office Outlook 2013 Introduction session and/or can confidently launch Outlook 2013, create and send an email, and manage email messages and contacts.

Resources required

  • Students are required to bring a pen and paper for note taking and a USB stick for taking files home.
  • Students attending Southport need to present their Confirmation of Enrolment to the carpark attendant each week to be eligible for discounted parking.
  • Please note:  There are no canteen facilities at Coomera over the weekend so students are advised to bring their own refreshments.

Timetable

This program is delivered as a single three hour session face-to-face in a computer laboratory.

Classes are offered on:

  • Tuesday 28 March 2017 from 6.00pm-9.00pm (1 session) at Southport, Level 3, Room 308
  • Thursday 22 June 2017 from 6.00pm-9.00pm (1 session) at Southport, Level 3, Room 308
  • Saturday 29 July 2017 from 9.00am-12.00pm (1 session) at Coomera, A Block, Level 3, Room A.03.015
  • Tuesday 21 November 2017 from 6.00pm-9.00pm (1 session) at Southport, Level 3, Room 302

Please note - This course is offered once a week on a specific day each week. Throughout the year we vary the day that each delivery package may be offered to suit students’ needs and availability. Students are enrolling in a specific day for the duration of the course. Refer to the dates on your Confirmation of Enrolment.
