Would you know what to do in an emergency?

Advance your first aid knowledge or update your current certification with this CPR course. This course will add value to your existing qualification, giving you the skills to confidently provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation in the workplace or community.

This course offers you the skills to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation in line with current Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines, operate an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to accurately convey incident details to emergency service personnel. Our industry-embedded teachers offer one-on-one guidance to help you succeed in your studies no matter what flexible study option you choose.

Successful completion of this skill set will give you the confidence to respond in emergency situations while at work or in the community.

In an emergency situation every second matters. Make sure your skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) are always up to date with this invaluable short course.  You will learn how to manage an unconscious casualty and to maintain life in a non-breathing casualty until medical help arrives.

To maintain currency the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) recommends updating your First Aid skills every three years and CPR skills every 12 months. Course details

Qualify and be acknowledged for your experience within the workplace

I had been working within the health sector for 20 years before I committed to completing my Certificate IV in Mental Health. Currently a trainer with the Salvation Army, I knew the next step for me was to formalise my experience and training by completing the course with my fellow employees. Despite all my years of experience within the field, I was both amazed and humbled by my experience at TAFE Gold Coast. The highly qualified and empathetic nature of my teachers made me better understand how I can manage my clients in a more effective manner.
