A cut above the rest

Good people skills, an eye for detail and a dash of creativity is all you need to enjoy a successful career in hairdressing. However to begin your career, you’ll also need expert training and that’s where our Certificate III in Hairdressing comes in. Taught by industry professionals, you’ll learn the latest fashion cuts, how to style classic and modern designs as well as the skills involved in colouring, bleaching, straightening and relaxing all hair types.

Skills relating to safe working practices are embedded throughout the training to ensure a safe working environment.

You may be able to obtain recognition for your work or life experiences under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process. Speak to your teacher in the first session to start this process. Course details

How to enrol

Sam Allan

Have your experience acknowledged through Recognition of Prior Learning

The salon-based learning I received whilst completing my Diploma of Hairdressing gave me the confidence to open my own hairdressing salon the day after I completed the course. The flexible learning style offered not only allowed me to complete extra curricular activities, but also acknowledged my recognition of prior learning, which other institutions did not offer. After having such a positive experience throughout my course, I continue to send my apprentices to TAFE Queensland Gold Coast, to ensure they recieve the same positive experience and industry skills.
