Upgrade your qualifications to advance your career

This Certificate IV has been designed to allow VET trainers or assessors with a TAA40104 to upgrade to the current TAE40110 qualification. The TAE40110 is the latest qualification needed to teach in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. This course will formally recognise suitably qualified and experienced industry professionals to design, develop, deliver and assess training programs in a VET environment.

This nationally recognised qualification provides a clear set of benchmarks to support both initial competency achievement and ongoing staff and professional development.

This qualification replaces the previous TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Fields of competency are:

  • designing and developing learning programs
  • planning, organising and delivering training
  • assessing in the workplace

How to enrol

Naomi Boscoe

Back your abilities and lead from the front

The experience I have gained from completing my Certificate in Training and Assessment, has provided me with the skills, innovation and confidence to back my own abilities and lead by example. Prior to commencing the course, I knew I had the foundations of what it took to be a leader, but studying alongside like-minded people and learning from highly qualified teachers allowed me to refine my skills and broaden by future job prospects.

Timetable

It is as easy as you supplying your successfully completed TAA40104 qualification plus other current evidence. This upgrade acknowledges your qualification and gives you the opportunity use your current experience to gain the TAE40110.

The TAE40110 consists of ten [10] units. As a current trainer/assessor the items that you will be asked to gather as evidence should be the items that you are currently using.

You will be required to supply:

  • Copy of your TAA40104 [certified by a JP]
  • Staff Profile and/or current resume/CV demonstrating your current role as a VET trainer/assessor
  • Job description
  • A copy of your current timetable (within last 2 years) showing that you have delivered VET units of competency to different groups to give evidence of different learner groups.

To assist you with gathering your evidence you will be supplied with:

  • TAE40110 RPL Kit
  • Two third party reports – one for the delivery cluster and one for the assessment cluster
  • A list of items that are required to be collected
  • A list of relevant questions for you to supply responses

Included in your course fee is the opportunity to complete the outstanding units. This will be accomplished by enrolling you into the TAE40110 blended course.

Being enrolled in the blended course gives you the opportunity to work through the unit/s in your own time with 9 months to complete. During this time you will have the assistance of a facilitator.

The hours of study are only applicable if you are unable to supply sufficient evidence for all units, in which case you will be required to enrol in these units via our TAE40110 blended course.

Additional costs will apply should you be required to complete additional gap units.

During this time you will have the assistance of a facilitator, who will advise you of any study or assessment requirements.
