Study locally, work globally

Having begun studying the Diploma of Beauty at a young age, I found that the manner in which the course content was delivered by my experienced teachers allowed me to better prepare for the real world structures that are associated with effective communication and customer engagement skills. Completing my course also provided me with strong exposure within the beauty industry, and has immediately provided me with an opportunity to work on an internationally recognised cruise liner as a beauty therapist.

Important Information

TAFE Queensland Gold Coast advises that, in undertaking this training, students will be exposed to some beauty products and machines that are unsuitable for use by epileptics or those with certain nerve diseases or disorders, as they can cause seizures. TAFE Queensland Gold Coast will make reasonable accommodations for any such student who wishes to undertake this course, and will ensure that its teachers indicate prior to use if any of the materials/machines to be used in a particular class that they have these properties, so that students can identify to the teacher that they may be at risk if accommodations are not made, but also so that all students in class are aware of these particular risks when they enter the industry and can take appropriate precautions with their clients. Please note that these accommodations may require a student with these types of conditions to train, for whole or parts of some classes, in a different training area from other students and will mean that these students will not gain experience with these types of machines and products for use in industry. TAFE Queensland Gold Coast considers it critical for the safety of students with epilepsy or nerve conditions that they are aware of the training they will receive.

Course commencement is subject to minimum enrolment numbers.

You are eligible for a VET Student Loan if you:

VET student loans will not be approved for students who do not meet the eligibility requirements. VET student loans gives rise to a HELP debt that continues to be a debt due to the Commonwealth until it is repaid.

Please note that all students enrolling in an accredited course are required to provide a Unique Student Identifier (USI).

Payment Plan

If you have difficulty paying the full cost of a course up front, or you are not eligible for VET Student Loan, you might be eligible for a payment plan. This will allow you to pay for your course in instalments, rather than one upfront payment at the time of enrolment.

Note: If you are accessing a VET Student Loan, and there is a difference between the loan cap amount and the total cost of your course (for example your loan cap amount is $10,000 and your course costs $11,000 - there is a $1,000 difference), you are required to pay the difference.

Subsidised

The Queensland Government will offset the cost of study for eligible students. You will still need to pay for a portion of your study costs. The amount above is what you will need to pay.
