  • Students should contact their School Careers Officer.
  • Sound levels of computer and literacy skills are desirable.
  • Be enrolled in Year 11 in a Queensland school and completed Year 10 with sound achievement in English.

Resources required

It is recommended that students have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Flash Player. This equipment and software is available for students to use at all TAFE Queensland locations.

Timetable

  • Fortnightly classes are held on Fridays from 8.00am-3.00pm during term time for 18-21 months at Southport.
  • The alternate Friday fortnight consists of a study day with 2 x 1 hour online classes that can be accessed at home or at school with a computer and internet access.
  • The online component is delivered via our Learning Management System Connect, and we ensure you will be supported every step of the way.

Placement

There is no placement however up to one excursion per term will be organised on the Friday “classroom” attendance.

To achieve this qualification students must successfully complete 12 units, 5 core and 7 electives.
