Live and breathe music

Kick start your career in the music industry with this entry-level qualification. This course will give you access to industry-standard studios and the foundation skills needed to operate equipment and software, and record and mix music. Research shows that creativity, communication and problem-solving will be the most desired skills in the future job market. This qualification will give you the core skills needed to work in both the creative industries and in corporate settings.

Learn how to protect your music with copyright arrangements, notate music, compose music using electronic media, and develop technical skills in performance. Our highly experienced and passionate teaching team have years of industry experience and will give you the one-on-one guidance you need to prepare you for a career in the music industry.

Successful completion of this course will qualify you to work as an assistant music manager, assistant sound mixer or give you the skills to be a successful working musician. Course details

Resources required

Timetable

Classes are held on Mondays from 8.00am-3.00pm for 12 months at Coomera.

Outcome

This course will provide students with the ability to move into the workplace as a performing musician, assistant music manager and assistant sound mixer applying a variety of skills learned to conduct themselves successfully in the music industry.

Progressive study into the Diploma of Music Industry will allow students to enter the workplace as a song writer, sound engineer/designer, music producer, composer/arranger, live sound engineer, accomplished performer or theatre technician.

Successful course completion will allow students to obtain 7 points towards their QCE.
