Submit enquiry and complete self-appraisal
All RPL applications require the Candidate to complete a self-appraisal. Upon making an enquiry you will be directed to complete this activity and its submission will be your official enquiry, electronic submission acting as the Candidateâs signature/declaration that they believe they have evidence to support their RPL enquiry.
Interview and Identify units for RPL
Upon receipt of the self-appraisal the RPL Assessor will contact you to discuss and identify your RPL options, and you will be able to ask any questions you may have. The RPL assessor will provide you with the agreed RPL Individual Training and Assessment Plan along with this RPL Candidate Guide.
Enrolment and Payment
You will now need to enrol and pay using the RPL Individual Training and Assessment Plan. Please call 5581 8797 to arrange payment.
Submit Candidate Guide to TAFE Queensland RPL
This Candidate Guide provides specific information about the RPL assessment process for this qualification, including the Professional Conversation and suggested/required documentary evidence. The qualification or units you are applying for in the recognition of prior learning process need to be supported by your recent or recent past work history. Include a current resume and/or detailed list of employment / experience (minimum last two years) in industry relevant to qualification being sought and also any training you have attended within your workplace/s or outside of the workplace. Ensure you include the signed Third Party Report along with the nominated supervisor's detailed industry qualifications and experience. Electronic submission of the Candidate Guide acts as the signature for the "Statement of original authorship" in the Portfolio of Evidence submission.
Once you are enrolled and submit the Candidate Guide the assessor will continue with your evidence review. The evidence gathering will include questioning, documentary evidence including workplace third party support, and direct observation. This could take place in the workplace, or on campus or via other technology but the assessor will discuss options with you.
Is where you may have identified you need training in a unit or units. The assessor will refer you to training options.
Award or Statement of Attainment
This is where you will be eligible for the full qualification to be awarded or you may apply for the statement of units you have achieved.
